Have A Cold One For The Heart!
Past studies have shown that drinking wine is good for the heart. Now clinical trials show that drinking beer may also be healthy for your heart. That’s because beer contains vitamin B-6, a vitamin that reduces homocysteine levels in the blood. Elevated levels of homocysteine have been associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease and depression. In this study, volunteers had a 30% rise in vitamin B-6 levels. Drinking red wine brought only about half that increase.
